  Fred R. Simpson is a former prosecutor with more than 21 years experience in over 400 jury trials as lead or sole counsel. He is committed to bringing the same level of professionalism and dedication to the private practice of law that he displayed as a veteran prosecutor. Having managed the Rome, Georgia Office of the District Attorney for 18 years (1985-2003) as Chief Assistant District Attorney, he is familiar with the criminal process and the workings of law enforcement and other governmental agencies. During his tenure as Chief Assistant D.A., he worked closely with and advised numerous law enforcement agencies. He has received numerous awards and certificates of appreciation from law enforcement and the community. He is a graduate of the National College of District Attorneys' Career Prosecutor Course in Denver, Colorado, and has been a teacher at the Georgia Basic Prosecutor's Course. He has had jury trial experience in virtually every type of criminal offense, from Murder to Armed Robbery to Controlled Substances to DUI/DWI, with an emphasis on child abuse cases.
